The residential program consists of 27 neighborhoods which will be chosen throughout the state to participate in a “sweep.” Each sweep will consist of approximately 420 homes. The neighborhoods will be selected based on BetterBuildings for Michigan guidelines that include a strong presence of neighborhood groups, synergy with local partners including utilities, foundations and community action agencies, and a high percentage of home ownership.
